Party conference bursary scheme open for applications
Becky Slack Published 11 April 2011Small charities wanting to attend the party conferences in the autumn can apply for an NCVO bursary.
Winning organisations get the chance to send a representative to either the Liberal Democrat, Labour or Conservative Party conference where they have the opportunity to speak to MPs, attend fringe events and discuss key issues such as the Big Society and impact of spending cuts.
The scheme is open to voluntary and community organisations with an income of less than £500,000. Applications must be received by Friday 20 May. Winners receive a two-day conference pass, one night's accommodation and reasonable travel expenses. Charity Insight's sister title, New Statesman, will be hosting a number of fringe events at the party conferences.
